Silversmith Youth Theater is more than just a theater program; it is a community. It's a place where kids can discover their passions, build their confidence, and shine. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to any parent looking to provide their child with a transformative and enriching experience
I have learned that I really enjoy acting and that I am good at it. I feel like being part of Silversmith is having a second family who love to act. I believe my acting and confidence have improved from being part of this group. I've enjoyed all 5 shows that I've been in.
Silversmith is the most welcoming theater company I've ever been a part of. I always feel included, and that means a lot to me.
My name is Sam I am 13 years old and I was apart of Silversmith Youth Theatre from 2021 to 2024. In my time with Silversmith, I played multiple roles including, Ebenezer Scrooge, King Arthur, and Ebenezer Scrooge for my second time. However, behind the scenes, I was a lighting director for one of their performances. My experiences with Silversmith gave me the confidence to speak to large groups, work as part of a team, and lead a team. The knowledge I have gained from these experiences still follow me today as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force Auxiliary/Civil Air Patrol. Overall, my Silversmith experience will always be a part of me as I've became like family with my fellow cast mates.
I have never been a singer, nor a dancer. While although performing in school musicals is fun, the acting opportunities for people of my musical talent are often limited to background acting for your ensemble role. The opportunity to have a unique character and make them your own is fulfilling in a special way that is not always available in school drama club. Silversmith Youth Theater has been a place for me to thrive in an environment where my acting can speak for itself, and I can learn and grow in the process. I've always felt confident and fit in because of the small cast. It's a tight-knit community, but the people just open right up to someone new and it's an impressive feat I've never experienced in any other youth activity. I personally joined later than some of the other people who have stuck with this group for a long time, but I can see why people join here and keep coming back! You build strong connections and forge lasting friendships when you do lots of shows with someone, and it's a reliable place to come back to every exciting new play. from Yahoo Mail for iPhone
I have been performing in various theater productions for about 4 years. Now that I am about to embark on my college journey at Bridgewater State University with a major in Theater Education I am ready to start taking my next steps. I have had the wonderful opportunity to join Silversmith Youth Theater for their production of Pandemonium as the Assistant Director. It has brought me such great joy to step into my first directing role and work with all of the amazing and talented kids participating in the show. It has been such a wonderful experience to be apart of such an incredible team and I truly have learned so much that I will take with me into all of my future productions.
